i. Who we are
Parallax Innovations (“Parallax,” “we,” “us”) is a company organized under the laws of the State of Delaware, with operations in Denver, Colorado. We build modern persuasion infrastructure for the movement to open American elections, working with 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations.
This policy describes what information we collect through our website (parallaxinnovations.com and its subdomains, collectively the “Service”), how we use it, and the choices you have.
ii. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Contact details — name, email address, organization, role, when you submit our contact form or sign in to the Partner Portal.
- Authentication data — email, full name, and profile picture from your sign-in provider (Google or magic-link email) when you log in to the Partner Portal.
- Brand assets — logos, style guides, color palettes, fonts, and other files you upload to the Partner Portal so we can produce creative on your behalf.
- Communications — the content of emails, messages, or form submissions you send us.
Information collected automatically
- Log and device data — IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps. Used for security, abuse prevention, and aggregate analytics.
- Cookies and similar technologies — session cookies for authentication; we do not use third-party advertising cookies on our marketing site or Partner Portal.
Information from third parties
- Sign-in provider data — when you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, profile picture, and unique Google ID. We do not request or store any other Google data.
iii. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, and improve the Service
- Authenticate you and protect your account
- Produce, review, and ship creative work on your organization's behalf
- Communicate with you about your account, partner work, and product updates
- Respond to inquiries, support requests, and legal obligations
- Detect, prevent, and address technical issues, fraud, or abuse
We do not sell personal information. We do not use information you provide to train external machine-learning models.
iv. How we share information
Service providers
We share information with vendors who process it on our behalf, under written contracts that limit their use of it:
- Vercel — website hosting and content delivery.
- Supabase — authentication and database for the Partner Portal.
- Resend — transactional email (sign-in links, account notifications).
- Google — when you choose to sign in with Google, your authentication is handled by Google's OAuth service.
Paid media and creative partners
With your direction and approval, we share assets you upload to the Partner Portal (logos, brand guidelines, approved creative) with partners we've engaged to execute media buys on your behalf — notably Trilogy Interactive for paid social and search. These partners are bound by their own agreements with us and use your information only to deliver the services you've approved.
Legal disclosures
We may disclose information when required by law, court order, or legal process, or when we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others.
Business transfers
If Parallax merges with or is acquired by another organization, your information may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your information becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
v. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as your organization is an active partner and for a reasonable period after, to fulfill the purposes described in this policy and meet our legal and operational obligations. You may request deletion at any time (see Section vii).
Brand assets and creative materials you upload remain in our system until you or your organization requests deletion, or until we reach a mutually agreed end of engagement.
vi. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS), encryption at rest for stored files, role-based access controls (Row-Level Security in our database), and least-privilege practices for our team. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
vii. Your rights and choices
You can:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date.
- Delete your account and personal information, subject to limited exceptions for records we're required to keep.
- Export the brand assets and content you've uploaded.
- Revoke Google sign-in access at any time via your Google Account permissions.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@parallaxinnovations.com. We respond within 30 days.
viii. Children's privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, contact us and we will delete it.
ix. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision. For material changes, we'll notify active partners by email.
